About Mrs. Shah

I grew up near Lake Murray in Lexington, South Carolina and I was raised in a truck farming community. For years my parents, grandparents, and many of my relatives grew Concord grapes which we carried to the Welch's plant in Spartanburg, S.C. My grandparents owned a farm across the street from us with cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbit hounds, cats, an ornery pony named Richard, and a pond to go fishing in.The Lake Murray Community was a great place for a child to grow up in.

I have one brother, David Carter, who works for the phone company in town.

I graduated from Winthrop University and began my teaching career at Lexington Elementary where I attended school as a child. My first grade teacher was still teaching there.

I have taught in three different states, South Carolina, Ohio, and North Carolina. I have been with CMS since 1987, and have taught at Smithfield for eleven years.

I met my husband at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C. Dinesh is a native of Vadodara, formerly Baroda, India, north of Mumbai, formerly Bombay.
